deel 1: Dutch text. A4 hardback, 96 pages, 154 black & white photographs plus map.
Describing the history of the steam tramway network that connected the city of Rotterdam with the outlying islands to the south, this book contains a fine selection of images of a once extensive system, which turned over to diesel operation in the 1950s up to the final closure in 1966. The RTM then ran buses until it became part of the larger ZWN company.
