Transport in London – A personal showcase
Photo album of images recorded by the late Fred Reynolds of the London Transport scene in the post-war period up to 1956. This was a most interesting time with older vehicles continuing due to a policy of make do and mend, war-time utility buses and borrowed vehicles being slowly phased out as newer types became available. Trams, trolleybuses and the fleets of Central and Country Buses, plus the surface stock lines of the Underground are covered.
